About me
Amy James has maintained a steady focus on student-centered curriculum and instruction throughout her career. She has worked as a high school science teacher, instructional coach, curriculum developer, SREB master trainer, Education Recovery Leader with the Kentucky Department of Education, and currently as a Learning Acceleration Specialist with the Ohio Valley Education Cooperative. Throughout these roles, she has developed a passion for building teacher and leader capacity as designers; not only as curriculum and instruction designers, but as systems and culture designers to create the educational experience our students deserve. A credentialed school administrator, Amy is an impactful leadership coach for systems of school improvement. Supporting schools through professional learning, coaching, and continuous improvement, all with a design mindset, she works tirelessly to build ever-better schools for all students.
